Help me Get more power
I completely agree. You should remove all of your ac components to shed some weight. Once they are out of the car, wrap them nicely, box the up, and mail them to me
This will shed a few pounds, making your car faster, and will help me deal with Oklahoma summers!

I'm surprised TIG didn't have a beautiful, well worded paragraph (or two) on why you should get a plan of attack when it comes to building up your car instead of just throwing parts on it, especially when you're still in HS. Anyways...
They take it for a month? That's rough and I'm sure it's gonna come with a pretty fine too.

yep I completely aware.....i have a few years on you around the "scene"...still funny!
if you wish to do it right i would say 6k give or take a k depending on quality. have you looked at lloyd elliotts site? heads, cam and intake done by one of the best in the country 2k.
Yeah a week is the minimum time they will take it away is 10 days and the maximum is a year, But this is my first offence since ive gotten my license so theyll take it easy on me but try to scare me for being out late. And ive seen some of his Paragraphs about a plan of attack, and i believe he is right. I should have one. and i will make one. I just first have to obtain some funds to start this project off the right way. And ive looked into how much it will cost and im assuming it will be around the 4500$ range. Am i close?
here's the good news
a cold air intake will stay with you even with a monster stroker
long tube headers, an off road y and decent cat back will also stay and thus again, a good investment
1.6 roller rockers also can be moved to a rebuilt engine
a good computer tune is a must and I've found Solomon to provide awesome service
If you're running on 2.73:1 gears then that in itself is a major drawback. Gears also stay with you but depending on torque and HP the 10 bolt might not. Feathering is always an option when taking off.
I gave a 95Z to my son and it has
long tubes/ORY/Magnaflow
CAI
deleted smog and egr
Solomon tune
1.6 roller rockers
3.23:1 gears
that alone was enough to eat the 4L60E twice so it now has a street/strip transmission and the car is plenty powerful
of course he wants a top end upgrade but maintaining a 3.0 or higher through college is more important than more power.
So 6k would very about a good point for how much it would take for me to build a stroker. I think Ill end up saving some cash cause my fathers close friend owns the local machine shop and I'm not sure if tie rear end is stock. I know for sure its not a limited slip differentially. Pretty sure its a posi. But not sure on the gearing.
Just did a tune up on my black Betty new sprk plugs, i believe its 8mm performance wires ? Cant think of it. And replaced one side of my header gaskets with some crush aluminum ones and replaced the bolts with some that take Allen Keys instead of 7/16 wrenches which have no room next to the headers. Tightened the other side and drove to the gas station to fill up after i put some sea foam in the tank. And so far its running really well. I have a question though. Is it normal for a mostly stock lt1 to have a loose valve that flutters ? Or could it be something else ? Please and thanks for your responses camaro community
