Default Help making a decision

I have my motor in the shop right now and I can't decide what cam to get. Yes another cam question. I have to order it next week so I can get it to the shop. The motor is a 97 lt1 350 with the a4 auto. The motors not worn out like I thought it would have been. All it needs is a hone job and the crank polished. So basically the motor is just getting freshened up. The cam is worn out they said. The rebuild kit he's getting comes with roller lifters so I'm set on lifters. I need a cam and don't know what to get. I have been doing research on line and I think The one I think will work best for my application would be the comp cam cc503 cam. But I been eying that cc306.

I look at the cam swap section on the site and the cam operating rage are different on this site than the operating ranges the show on comp cams web site. Why it that?

the one in this section are showing a stock 1.5 rocker. wonder if cc is using 1.6 rollers. have you considered going with elliotts head intake cam combo. cant say anything bad about my setup.

IMO go by the Comp Cam site. They will be more conservative and done with controlled testing. Any form information will be less controlled and be peppered with info from people that had other supporting mods.

I've read on comp cams site, lunati, and trick flow sites. I called comp cam and wasn't to pleased with who I was speaking with. Was asking me what I was looking for as far as cams, not asking about what the set up I have so I can get the best for my application. I was asking all the questions even down to what stall I need to run. Basically he was reading off the web site. Same info I already read. But anyway I need to find something that will work that's not too big but not too small either

I stumbled across that site on Friday. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow to see what they have to say
