Help. 94 z28 wont start
1) 1994 z28, v8 automatic
Had my alternator burn out two weeks ago, last sunday car decided not to start. changed coil and ign module, no change. When i turn the key on, single stage cooling fan comes on, injector relay keeps clicking and i can feel a distinct pulsing in the fuel lines, maybe the injectors are firing?
7) alternator change prior to car not starting, changed monday, died sunday.
8) changed ign module, ign coil. checked ign harness, checked opti harness all seem ok ( via shbox values)
any help would be greatly appreciated gents

You have changed a lot of parts, but have you checked for a good spark. Good way to test the fuel system is to check fuel pressure, and use Noid lamps to see if injectors are being fired. May want to scan for retained codes. In these cars the opti provides the PCM all the reference signals for ignition and injector timing, and also delivers the spark to the ignition wires. There is no injection relay, but there are 2 injector fuses ( one for each bank). There is a fuse powering the ignition coil. There is also a fuel pump relay.
The fan going on when attempting to start is an indication that the PCM is seeing a problem

look at number 2 here https://camaroforums.com/forum/93-02...62/#post557634 have you had it scanned for codes. finding a scanner to borrow for your year may be an issue. if there are trouble codes stored it could give us an idea what the issue is. have you tested the fuel pressure yet? be a good start. can get a test gauge at a local parts store, most have a loan plan. you leave money and take the tool, they give money back when you bring tool back.
