Default Help!!!

So i bought a 93 lt1 camaro (not running) from a good friend. He said it died on him while driving, the only thing he said it did when it died was make a vacuum sound. I have tested spark, it's getting fuel. Just cranks but no start. Hooked up diagnostics, said everything was good with no codes. When it first died three years ago, it had a pass key code, but no longer does. Just for fun, i used resistors to fool it but didn't change anything. I am running out of ideas except possibly timing chain jump? But I have read that that isn't very likely to happen. Any help is appreciated! Also has brand new opti

i have had this happen and it was spark plugs, they were so fouled car would not run. have a look at this and see if it helps to find issue. https://camaroforums.com/forum/lt1-l...37/#post579761

if they do not look fouled (all black) then i dont think its the plugs. check your fuses, under the hood in the black box on the driver side there are one or two (depending on when built in 93) fueses for the injectors, make sure they are good. pick up a noid light for gm injectors and test to see if the computer is telling the injectors to fire. has anyone tryed spraying fuel, gas or starting fluid in the throttle body. also try flashing for codes, look at 23 on the list here http://shbox.com/1/how_tos.html sometimes the scanners dont pick up the codes on the 93.

Okay, I replaced the plugs, did a test on the injectors, it was good. Did a compression test and it was less then sixty psi. Could the chain jump? The rockers are moving so it's not broke. Also the tested fuel pressure, it was only 35

Seems like it's flashing code 16, but the opti is new, I'm getting spark, and all the connections seem fine

nope ive seen bad opti and harness with spark. its all about when it sparks. clear the computer and try and start the car, then flash for codes again. if 16 comes up then there is an issue somewhere that includes the opti. again what brand of opti and where did it come from?
