Default Header problem

When I was placing the motor back in the car the driver's side header is bumping into the steering column. I had to take off the steering column to get the motor in. I was just wondering if they made a aftermarket one or if there was a way to fix this problem. may some type of fabrication.

they are longtube headers. and I really dont want to reroute the tube that is hitting the column if I don't have to. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem?

what kind of headers? only thing hitting on mine was the thin metal deal that sticks out. all i did was bend them in to get em out of the way. pictures?

I can only comment on Pacesetter headers. THe plastic boot of course gets tossed out. THen, as long as the headers are snug, you can move the steering linkage up and down just a wee bit by loosening the bolts. You'll be surprised at the clearance it creates. It's a tight fit but you should be OK

got pictures of my problem. I heard that you can undo the steering column and it will adjust to the right about 3 inches is this true??

looks like the wrong headers, the brake line is way to close and there is no way the steering is fitting in there. what headers are these?
