Are your headers Long Tubes ?

The Lt1 has 4 O2 sensors..... There should be 4 holes, 1 on each header.... And 2 on the Y pipe....one on each side.

UNLESS.....your car has had the O2 sensors tuned out. Which CAN be done.

When you pulled the exhaust manifolds off were there any O2 sensors on them ?

how do y'all recommend undoin the motor mounts? the one big bolt on the mounts or the two smaller bolts Thayer go into the block? which will give me less of a headache

may have to modify a wrench to fit. get the torch out and bend the sucker till it works. i ended up braking three bolts off when i took my manifolds off. lol, i took the motor out before i took the exhaust manifolds off.

Get underneath the car to get to the back two bolts.

OR

Lay on top the motor....put a pad or something for yourself to lay on.....Lay on the motor, with your head facing the passenger side fender.

Fish your hand around the back of the motor to the mainfold. Find the bolt with your hand then once you find it....feed the wrench back there.

Try getting it from under the car first.....

The pipe you are talking about, is related to the sensors I was referring to earlier..... If your headers have NO bungs on the top of them....You dont need that pipe.... You don't have to cut it though....the first two bolts are on the manifold...the other two are in the back of the motor.

Once you get to the motor mounts..... DON'T take passenger side motor mount bolt all the way out..... Get it out just enough to where the motor can be lifted up. Use a hammer and long screw driver to back the bolt out.....

Can you take a picture of your setup ? Jacks, Ramps ? Tools ? Where you are working out of.

Also.....did you take the dip stick out yet ?
