Default header choice

hey guys, ive never posted here before but im not new to the ways of the car forums. i have a 95 z28 m6 vert w/ GM performance heads and cam and the usuall bolt ons. the one bolt on that i dont have which is restricting the **** out of me is headers. im still using straw with 4 holes aka the stockys. looking around on jegs and a few other sites i see that the pacesetter headers w y-pipe seems to be a good deal for under 300 bones. the ones im leaning towards r the black painted mid lenghts with y-pipe, does anyone have these? and if so whats the deal on them

thanks guys

I've heard mixed reviews of the Pacesetter's. Some people really like them, some have lots of trouble. If I were you, if you're looking for a good mid/shorty header, I'd go for Edelbrock's TES for the F-body, it's a little more expensive, but probably one of the best ways to go if you don't go long tube.

I have a set of the SLP ceramic coated headers and i am happy with them. Good construction and when combined with my edelbrock heads there was a very noticeable difference in power. My engine compartment does get hotter with them on than with the stock set though, but thats minor.
