Default harmonic dampener

When I took the dampener off my 95Z there wasn't a half moon key on the crank snout did they not put them on the LT1 or has mine just disappeared?

Lt1's don't use or need one. Just stick the dampener back, does not matter how it is pointed unless you are one of the unlucky ones that has an engine that needed touch up balancing to meet factory specs. Make sure the retaining bolt is torqued to spec. If you intend to drive something big off the crank snout, such as a blower, then you should go for a key.

if its like a 93 there should be an arrow on the harmonic dampener/balancer. the arrow is pointed straight up when number one cylinder is tdc.
