I have a 95 Z/28, that is starts when it wants. When it starts it back fires through the intake, and the RPM's jump like crazy. When the key is on engine off, the RPM's still jump and my fuel pump kicks on and off. Any help would be GREAT!

 

Try a new ignition control module. Also see if there are any stored codes in the PCM.

 

Would the ignition control module make my RPM's spike like that?
