Default Going drag racing next weekend

well my buddys gonna race his stock lt1 with full msd igntion.. im predicting it to run low 14.s but i hear alot abotu droping the sway bar of the car.. transfers weight right? were gonna run it with the street radials first then the the street tires he has on it now and then what ever runs best with that take the sway bar of and run it again.

The front sway bar serves no purpose in drag racing, and you won't gain much by removing it, but removing weight from the front always helps. Just make sure you put it back for street driving, as the car will handle pretty crappy without it. Leave the rear sway bar on. It helps a little by trying to keep the rear of the car from squatting down on the right side.

aright bro thanks. ya i figured if it gave him 2 tenths of a second thats another maybe mph any other lil tricks you can do for tad bit more speed or e/t.. also hes driven the car down racn it and driven it back. were goin 50mins away to hagerstown to race. how would you lanch this car if its ur DD and youd be screwed if you broke it ? i hear the rears in camaros are really junk. just afriad of watchn him go down the track with the rear still at the staging lanes lol.
