Default Fuel regulator

My Z has a Holley fuel regulator on it. I believe its dried and not working. It sat for 1 1/2 yrs so I think it my flooding prob. Has anyone ever used a different regulator instead of a LT1 style?
Im considering on buy factory fuel rails and replacing these factory one on my car that are chopped up cause of the NOS, I believe I could have set it up a lot cleaner.

OK, heres is a strang thing...well for me. I got my fuel pressure gauge on, running I have 30lbs. So I decided to adjust it, I had the car running and a I adjusted it to 40lbs. The car totally started flooding worse, smoking at idle and almost cut off. So I adjusted it to 25lbs and it wouldnt run. What the heck?? Is it a stuck injector or 2 or 3.....how can I check those. Or am I over looking something??

I had only of my racing buddies say it could be the way it is since its not supose to be a street car, running rich that is.

Is there a way to check the injectors to see if one leaking. But im thinking it would take more than 1 or 2 to be leaking to drop that much pressure?? 36lbs injectors, if that makes a difference..
I may not have it much longer tho....got offered ALOT of cash for it...so if they bring me 9,000$ its gone...lol well see if there offer hold water..
