yep absolute hell and then the length was off when i had em in the plastic guide/holder.
so with the ebay longtubes will i need differant plug wires? i hope not.
to the orginal poster, do the drivers rear from the bottom, its pretty easy from the bottom the passenger side is all bottom except the one the alternator blocks

The y-pipe on my car was in the way of taking the starter out and when i saw that is when I decided to finish it on a lift. My skinny arms didnt help me enough lol. Im only about 140 lbs. BTW, any tips on getting the plug wire for the farthest one back on the drivers side into the metal shield on the side of the motor?

Mine is a 4 door but i love it. I got a few pictures up in my garage, but they are not that great. These things have some history as far as being hotrods. I had never heard of a 50's olds being anything more than a luxury ride until I got one. There is a small company that is run mostly by one or two guys I believe that makes any speed part you need for these things. That includes high flow aluminum heads, roller rocker kits, custom cams, lifters, and transmission conversions (they makes bell housings and flywheels that can hook up to muncie 4 speeds and tH350/400's). Their website is rossracingengines.com

with Pacesetters, the only difficult one is #6. You can get it from the bottom or laying horizontally on the engine.
Without Pacesetters the passenger side was dang near impossible
