Default External engine cleaning?

Ok, since I have read enough to make my head hurt, how do you go about cleaning the engine without hurting the fragile opti? I have cleaned numerous engines and never had a problem. I guess I just can't belive GM put such a fragile piece, that can die if a bug took a **** on it. I need to find the leak at the front of the motor. Most likely it is coming from the intake.

Thanks.

Marc

You could try spraying an aerosol engine degreaser on where you think the leak may be. If you're careful you could try some dish washing soap that has been watered down as well. Whatever you do keep a towel close so you can try to keep as much moisture away from the Opti as possible. It's not quite as fragile as you make it out to be, but you definitely don't want to spray the front of the motor with any sort of pressure washer or hose.

Lots of simple green and a hudson sprayer to rinse it off with. I guess that is what you get when you buy a vehical from someone who is not mechanically inclined. Maybe time for a new opti with 141k on the original. Couldn't hurt.

Thanks.
