Default EVAP System / Gas leak when filling tank

Hey everyone I have a 1995 Z28. If I fill the gas tank all the way, I get some leakage dripping down on the driver's side. If I fill the tank 3/4 of the way no leaks. Also, after running the car for awhile I will smell some gas fumes in the back of the car but no leaks. I can hear the fuel pump in the back when the car is running too, a humming noise.

I was wondering if this could be a bad fuel pressure solenoid that's stuck open? Is my fuel pump on its way out? I'd like to avoid dropping the tank if possible, but if I have to I will.

I was told it could be the charcoal cannister going bad, but since it's in the front of the car I don't see how it could make a fuel smell in the rear. Any advice and thoughts would be helpful.

Looks like the vent line is plugged and not relieving the pressure in the tank. I'll check it when it's up on the hoist.

The EVAP canister is in the back to the rear of the filler tube. Typically there is a plastic cover protecting the area.

Thanks! This is what I was looking for! This is the component that's most likely defective! Now comes the process of finding a new one.

More likely is a bad hose or connection to the canister or the pressure control valve. Normally the canister wont leak unless it's been badly damaged somehow.
