After reading comments on the LT 4 cam I've decided to just leave the stock cam alone. I'm going with mid length leaders, probably gut the cats and run the stock muffer for a while. This car runs strong enough to suit me and gets 23-24 mpg right now so I'm not gonna take any chances of messing that up.Instead of speed I think I'll look into bigger brakes and better handling suspension components. Southern Illinois roads are all about hills and curves so a good crisp-handling car is lots of fun.

Probably the hardest thing to do with a car lke this is to just leave it alone. I know I could get more speed and louder exhaust but I think that would take something away from a 14 year surviver that looks as good as new. At least thats my thoughts going into the 3rd week of owning this one.

go with a cold air intake like a k and n or moroso. thats good for some gains without loseing milage. u should be getting a little better mpg now so u may want to look at plugs and maybe some new plug wires. also 02 sensors. as far a suspinsion talk with sam strano here.

The car came with a new K & N set up so that one is a freebie for me. I'll do the headers next and a complete tune-up like you said. The car only has 73,000 on it so I'm sure a lot of stuff is still factory stock/original. It'll be fun seeing how much improvement I'll gain just with the minor bolt-on stuff. Driving fun is really what I'm after with this car. I looked at Stano's site, lots of handling options there, food for thought over the winter months. The Royale Purple color is kinda chewing on me to do some cosmetic stuff... black SS stripes maybe...maybe a deeper puple stripe. Maybe just leave it alone. Fun new toy, I loves me some toys once in a while.
