Anything is possible. It just all depends on how much money you have, how mechanically inclined you are, what tools you are working with, etc. Sure, a custom performance specialty shop can do it, but it will take ALOT of time and money.

There was a reason they put the LT1 / LS1 engines in these cars. The location of the ignition was key as there is no room for the older style distributor under that hood.

Your single biggest headache will be the distributor. It will be sitting somewhere in the passenger compartment, behind the radio. Getting to it for maintenance and adjustments would be a pain in the rear and would require some kind of an access panel.

Other than that, you will be doing a lot of cutting and custom fab to make it physically fit under the hood.

Now putting one of the newer LSx engines in there, that would be infinitely more doable. But an old school BBC would be off the charts for the cool factor.

it has definitely been done before, people make K-members to bolt everything in. You'll have to cut the cowl, but otherwise, it shouldn't be too hard
