Default electrical?

i have a 95 z28 and im kinda stumped. i was having problems with my car starting. the starter was going but it wouldnt turn over the moter. so i pull off the atlernater and batterie and got them tested they were fine. i put them back in and found the positive side termanal was stripped, so i think that it wasnt getting enough juice to the starter? but today when i was sitting at a red light my speedo freeked out and started going up and down while i was sitting still and the volt guage dropped to 10 from its normal 14. could it be the battery????

Since it sounds like it's not a problem that's constantly there I would start by checking your grounds.

The speedo is controlled by the PCM, so it could have been a byproduct of shorting something out or some other electrical issue. The fact that your voltage dropped while the car was running is more what I was concerned about. If all the grounds check out you could have a short somewhere as well.

well like i said before the short can be coming from the positive side of the battery. it is a side mount termanal and its stripped so the bolt will back out, so mabey its arcing and creating the volt droppage and the speedo problems?
