you would, but as others will tell you: you can spend less money and make more power by staying lt1 parts. with a nice healthy cam and ported heads you can have a nice street machine, u spent less money, are faster, and all u lost was the ability to call it an aftermarket lt4.

93 was the guinea pig year.Spec is right we have no Maf and we have electronic fuel injection as apposed to sequential fuel injection in the later years.93 and 94 are still similar.93s you have to have a chip burned when tuning the computer.And yes when modding stay away from lt4 parts, lt4 parts are really just more mild than stock parts and you pay an arm and a leg just to have the name.

I'd just have the stock heads ported by someone with a good rep,they flow pretty good already but a good porter can make them a lot better.
The right guy that knows what he's doing will also be able to tell you what cam will work best with the headwork being done.
