Default Daily Driver Rear End Gearing Question

Hello All !

Wanted to know if anyone has any input on what rear end gearing I should upgrade to on my 95 Z28 6spd. I drive the car daily to work and seldom use 6th gear @ 2K rpms traveling 80mph. What the bestperformance for the economical mpg buck.

Are you looking for economy or performance? If you want economy start using 6th gear.

I am looking to improve the performance, will not be drag racing the car, just looking for a little boost without crazy highway rpms. If I loose a little mpg, its worth the trade off. What are the stock gears on my Z ?

3:73's my best choice ? what should I expect ?

I would just stay with your stock 3:42 which gives the best of both worlds. Save your money on a wasted gear change for a daily driver. My opinion.
