Default Cruise control quit

Vehicle: 1995 Z28 M6 Convertible

My cruise just quit. I checked the relay and fuse and they are intact. My third brake light also works. Any ideas why it would just quit? is there anything I can check or do I need to pull codes (I have no SES)? Thanks.

Follow the second cable to the cruise control unit and check to make sure that it is plugged in and there is no corrosion on the connector. If memory serves me right it is below the air cleaner next to the air pump on the driver's side. This area of the car gets alot of messy stuff from driving so the plug could need some help. If that is it and the plug gets cleaned and working again I would get some dielectric grease and fill the socket up with that to protect against future corrosion

OH make sure the switch under the dash is still plugged in and also make sure the wires in the column and comming out of the turn signal lever have not been damaged.
