i have 95 z28 and light is on indicating i have low coolant but its full the temp gauge occasionally goes up slowly but never hits red what should i do?

 

Have you checked the coolant to make sure its not low, if full and the light it still on its the sending unit for that sensor.

 

Yep, probably the level sensor. It's located on the pass. side rad. tank. You can either replace it, or disconnect it and make sure you do periodic checks on you coolant tank (not recommended), or be lazy like me and ignore it (also not recommended).
