Coolant fan question
Hi im new to the fourm.
I recently purchased a 94 Z28 with a lt1 in it.
I love the car but I cant get my fans to kick on.
I have changed my coolant sensor (on the water pump) changed my relays and also bought a Jet coolant switch in hopes that would fix it.. like anyone can install it.
so I hook up my pigtail included in the kit and ground it out, fans come on.
I can manually turn my fans on and they work.
when I ground out the pig tail my relays click and my fans come on.
I would be happy if they came on at stock temps or a shop would have any interest in doing the install, but they havent.
Please help! I want to drive the car but I am afraid of getting stuck in traffic.
thnx, stu.

Are you sure your temp is getting high enough for the fans to kick on?
I do remember reading somewhere that really the only time the fans kick on (other than when the water temp gets into a certain range) is if there is insufficient air flowing through the radiator. So if you're doing a lot of highway driving they won't kick on. I've taken thirty mile trips where it'd 35-60 mph the whole way and the fans would never kick on.
