I really don't know man, just trying to help a bud out. I can get the part number if it's on there somewhere tomorrow. Let me know if you want me to do that hammer? Just for **** and giggles maybe.

wow arrow...i think that might actually work...i'm going to go back and do some more precise measuring tomorrow on the filter i have in there. if you look up my car on the website, it calls for a 33-2042 which obviously doesn't work. maybe if i look up a 96? weird.

but you're the man! thanks bud!

EDIT: i just looked up what application that filter would fit and it says dodge rams, lol. now how the hell was i supposed to find that?!?

no problem hammer, like I said above, mine fits really good, no movement in it at all. I don't know why they don't have it listed for a SS, let me know what you end up doing.

So I'm guessing your car is a 97 then? I just asked for a 96 SS because I knew that was the first year they made the SS.

yeah my car is a 97. i actually did a little more research on the site and put in the wix number and it brought up 4 different filters that interchange with it, lol. i actually ordered a different one than the one you used because the measurements seemed to fit closer to the one i have. if it doesn't work, i'll just order a different one and send it back. will be here tomorrow so i'll let you know what i find.

thanks again for helping...i knew k&n had to have something to fit these cars. pretty dumb if they didn't

its a business in today's economy...you tell me if i'm rich. dont you think i'd be doing a lot more stuff to my car if i was rich? or better yet, don't you think i'd have a second camaro sitting next to the SS to make the high power car? no i'm not rich
