im putting a new cd player in my car and there isnt enough room depth wise to slide it in. there is a big black box looking thingy that is behind it. any ideas???

 

can you move it? i belive i had the same problem and i just kinda slipped it under the ledge and it worked fine.

 

depending on the install kit you have some of them stick out a little ways in the front, which gives you a little more depth in back.

 

Ive changed my cd player in my 94. i have a plastic peice that goes around my cd player, it pulls it out about 2 inches. They are at best buy. had no clearance problems. try something like that if you dont mind it not being flush.

 

its should just be a plastic mold that you can break away with no troble, i install at circuit city the flush mount looks a lot better
