Car won't stay running

I don't know what is going on with my 94 z28, I can crank car and idles fine but as soon as I pull it in gear it stumbles and cuts off. Any ideas would be appreciated.

test fuel pressure. very low fuel pressure will do it. test your temp sensor too. look at 20 and 33 here 4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech Aids

Ok would the low fuel pressure still let it idle normal?

yes it can, failing fuel pump can pump a little but not what its supposed to. so it would run out of gas when you make demands of it.

If it smells fuel it may be low fuel pressure.
