Car wont start

my car ran really rich, so bad the plugs fouled and it would not run. its still a little rich but after i found both the valves were not working and changed them and the plugs the motor has run better. my fuel pressure relief valve was also bad so it was going from not having enough fuel to to much. so when you say it wont turn on do you mean it wont run?

Ill try to start it, but it seems like it is missing and only hitting on about 1 cylinder. Eventually when I try it will try, then keep running and start firing on all cylinders after a few seconds.

sorry im thinking to fast and writing to slow. the valves i chaged where in the evap system the pressure control valve and the solonoid valve, both tested bad. have you checked the spark plugs and what kind are they?

it could but many other things can to, the fuel pressure regulator is at the back of the fuel injector rack, it has two fuel lines hooked to it, one is a little bigger than the other. the big one is the pressure line and the small one is the return line. there should be a vacumm line going into it as well. it should go up toward the front of the car on the passenger side of the intake manifold and go into the side about 1/4 way up the intake. take it lose at the intake manifold fitting and see if you have fuel in the hose. smell it to see if theres a strong odor of gas. if either the fpr is leaking.

welcome to strangeness
I've seen coil wires that only fail once it gets hot under the hood
I've had a miss that was random and it was a spark plug that had a small crack and the failure was inconsistent.
On the LT1, I've had the opti harness cause me grief, also an intermittant connection on the temp sensor (the one on the waterpump)
Since most of us haven't owned thse cars from the inception, you really have no clue as to past maintenance. So, as time moves on, you really need to repair/replace wiring and hoses and check your grounds.
