Thinkin about throwin some gears in. What ratio should i use? 4:10s? or what?

96 Z28, 6 Speed, Red


I don't care about top end too much (everybody around here has diesel's lol), but i want like 20-60 MPH to be optimized. I don't really use highway too much so i don't mind too much about MPG. What do you think?

 

i believe a lot of 6 speed guys go with 4:11's...i could be wrong though but i'm pretty sure taht's what they go with.

 

if 4:10's and 4:11's are the same thing. I ordered 4:11's and the part description said they were 4:10's, but you do the math on the ring and pinion count and they add up as 4:11's. But yeah it seems to be the most common ratio to switch to. I think it was one of the best upgrades i did, i actually enjoy my car more on the freeway now, it sits at about 2500 rpms at 80 mph. I top out at about 135 from the gears, but I have diesels here to i always beat them before even my buddies with head work and bigger turbos, but now i cream them haha
