Cam question
I have a 97 F1 and I'm considering buying an aftermarket cam for my car. I'm looking for one with noticeable sound at idle but hopefully possible on finding one which doesnt totally trash the gas mileage. Also I'm curious as to whether or not I have to pull the whole block out considering its halfway under the firewall and also whether or not I'm going to have vacuum or electrical "shortages" if you will. You guys have any suggestions?
To change the cam,you need to remove the intake manifold and make room in front of the engine. You will have plenty of room by removing the fans & radiator, and the manifold can be romeved without too much of a hassle. As for cams, everyone has a different opinion, so the best bet is to talk to a cam grinder.
