RE: brakes
u really get what u pay for man. dont go cheap on brakes.you can get away with rotors but any cheap replacement caliper isnt going to be better than ur stocker. do an ACTUAL upgrade if u want to go that route

RE: brakes
When it comes to brakes, keep in mind that they are the only thing stopping you. Personally, I don't feel like risking mine and other's lives by using cheap parts. Stock replacements are always a good first choice. If you're looking for an upgrade, look into companies such as ssbc, they offer good quality products. For stock replacements, do some shopping at your local auto parts stores, such as Napa, Carquest, Baxters, Schucks, Autozone, O'Reileys, etc.

RE: brakes
i did the LS1 front brake upgrade on my 97. i used calipers , brackets , lines and knuckles from a 99 LS1 car with dimpled and slotted EBC rotors with Hawks pads on the front and rear. car stops great now, 100% improvement over the stock LT1 brakes. plus all the parts can be replaced at your local dealer.
