Default Brake Booster

I have created a vacuum pump out of a compressor from a beer fridge and it is pulling 32" of vacuum and I am worried that if I put that to the brake booster that it will be too much and damage the diaphram. I was wondering if anyone knew of a pressure regulator that I could use to maintain a constant 14"?

I would imagine a regulator like you would use for an air compressor with spray gun would work with a vacuum as well as pressure. You would have to change the guage to work with a vacuum instead of pressure. That is about all I can think of.

Chevy full size station wagons form the 80's have a vacuum pump for the brake booster.
