hi people i have an opurtunity to buy one of these from a guy at work.its white with orange stripes lti350 6 speed trans now someone told me that 100 of these were lt4 versions how can i tell. and this has 25000 miles and is cherry he wants $9000 for it is this a good deal. any info i will be happy for thanks. oh yea hondstooth int, t tops.

 

I thought all the actual 30th anniv. cars had LT4s in them. Could you provide a picture of the engine? LT4s have different intake manifolds I believe, so it could be identified as that. Also, you should probably get the VIN and call SLP to verify it's not just a clone.

 

Red intake on these, can you post a pic under the hood etc?
$9k is a really good deal from what all you said about it. Run a VIN on it.

 

there was options back then. the lt4 i think was an option. mine is an lt4 without the heritage ss package. i dont have that scheme of colors but i do have the 6 speed lt4. its a monster. it has a red intake manifold and a plaque on the dash that read 30th anniversary. also the heritagess package includes white houndstooth leather and cloth. with white wheels to match of course. more than 100 were made though.

 

i have a 30th anniversary z28 white with orange stripes it has a lt1 it. came with the white leather seats but the guy i took it from got rid of it and put in cloth seats that say 30th on them. i would like the leather seats back in it also has chrome wheels not the white wheel and i dont have a plaque on my dash but i checked the code on the door and it does have the code for it wonder why i dont have the plaque

 

hawks third gen sells the plaque for us non heriatge package lt4 guys. it sounds like yours is a regular 30th anniversary.

 

I thought all the LT4 cars were SS's for 97.
