Default Anyone Have Experience with a Short Stick Shift Handle?

I just bought a '94 Z28 and it came with a Hurst short shifter. The problem is it has this tall chrome handle that is a little too high for my taste. I was going to make my own handle that was shorter, but I found this handle at the WS6 Store:

93-97 LT1 WS6store T56 Short Stick | WS6store.com

Some of the reviews say the handle hits the counsel in 2nd and 4th. Anyone have this? How much does it interfere with the counsel? Is it worth 25 bucks?

No one else has tired this? I think it will work. The throw is so short on the Hurst that I dont think Ill need to worry about the stick hitting the counsel.

i have one for my Hurst equipped T/A. its a great product. I also disliked how high my shifter sat, so I went with their short 6" stick. Definately more comfortable to use. the shifts aren't that much shorter, and there is a lot more feel with this shifter as it does not use a rubber ball on the end like your stock Hurst shifter does

Thanks for the feedback! I went ahead and ordered the 6.5" version because I figure I can always cut threads off to fit my needs, but I cannot add threads.
