Antifreeze bubbling out of overflow cap???
I just bought a 1995 z28 about a month ago, and it has been doing the weirdest thing. It has been bubbling antifreeze out of the overflow cap on the radiator, it doesn't really get hot everytime it does it, but just a couple. I have changed the thermostat twice thinking that it would fix it, but it seems like most people lean toward a blown head gasket. But if it were a blown head gasket wouldn't there be more problems that just antifreeze bubbling out?? Could it possibly be vapor locking or something?? I really need some help guys, I don't want to go and replace my heads and stuff and it be something minor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Antifreeze bubbling out of overflow cap???
I'd start out by replacing your radiator cap. if it's old and doesn't hold pressure then it will leak out the overflow. My 96 did exactly the same thing and all it was was the radiator cap. if it doesn't work then you didn't spend that much money anyway.

If it's not getting that hot, then the fans have no reason to come on. If it's alot coming out the overflow, you check the radiator cap. If the radiator is full, then a little bit through the overflow is to be expected.
