!997 Camaro SS Needs Help!!!
Whats up guys I got a 97 ss Its got lt1 with 11:5:1 forged pistons,Lt4 ported polished edelbrock heads and intake which I believe are not the factory lt4 specs but alittle bigger,Forged crank,215/215 cam?,t56 six speed,373 rearend. The only upgrades not done yet stock lt1 computer, not dyno tuned, stock lt1 injectors, and stock fuelpump, 42lb injectors and 255 lph pump on the way though. Everyone is saying by doing these upgrades will only add about 30 to 40 horse and for about 500 chucks plus is making me wanna puke! How true is that statement and what can I do to this setup to get some serious power without running nos. Car just seems slow for all the upgrades! LIKE MUSTANG GT 5 SPEED WOULD RUN WITH ME SLOW! Just new at the late models Im old school and dumb founded when it comes to late models. So Please help If yall can. THANKS!

GET THAT THING TUNED!!!
You really don't need the new injectors or fuel pump at this point in time, you need to be pushing a pretty hefty amount of HP before you need to upgrade injectors, especially 42 lb/hr injectors. You could get away with 33 lb/hr and they wouldn't even be stressed with the heads you're running. I have a funny feeling a tune would help you out a bunch, also, do you have headers and full exhaust on the car? You never want to go for internal modifications before you have all the basid bolt-ons finished...

that's a very small cam as well...like smaller than the hotcam...and that's small. running that big of injectors isn't a bad thing, it leaves room for upgrades later down the road. i agree with slvr, get that pig tuned! and those heads aren't as great as edelbrock will tell you...they're actually junk
