Default 96 Z28 not getting enough fuel?

i was told it might not be getting enough fuel. well to start off i havent drove it in 3 or 4 months now because of the issue. it is lacking power at pretty much all rpm ranges, it falls flat on its face when you go WOT and it holds at around 3000 to 5000 rpms before shifting. this problem was explained to a guy who knows a bit about engines but i havent gotten around to looking. it doesnt have cats. sometimes it dies and just wont start back up. i started it a few days ago and smoke came out of the exhaust and the pipes are carboned up. if any information to help get in the right direction to fixing it would be great.

have it scanned for trouble codes. should be able to have it done at the local parts store. give em a call before hand to make sure they can do it.

If the pipes are carboned up it indicates it is getting ample fuel. The only way you are really going to know if the fuel delivery is correct is to check the fuel pressure with the engine under load, and to check for codes. I suspect you may have some other problems besides fuel. When was it tuned up last? What mods were done?

Smoke indictors:
1) Black = rich mixture or severe misfire
2) Blue = burning oil
3) White = coolant in combustion chamber, very bad thing

the only mods are moroso cai and flowmaster exhaust and i was told it was rebuilt and it has around 90k+ miles. im not sure when it was last tuned up.

i cant really explain what its doing. but ive had it scanned dozens of time when it ran fine but it threw crank shaft positioning sensor, something about left bank lean, i think. but it always ran fine. then i was just driving it one day it lost power and bogged alot. its not the original engine to the car, so thats my guess on the codes and i was told the engine came directly out of a corvette but its an lt1 i thought they only had the lt4.
the intake isnt red.
