Default 96 camaro injectors?

i have a 96 camaro i have been having a problem with fuel pressure not maintaining in the lines after car is shut off. if i prime it with the key on and off a couple times before i crank it, it fires right up. without doing this i crank it for 10-15 seconds before it starts. i was told that maybe my injectors are leaking/staying open. also when it is running and warmed up i get a solid popping at idle sounds like a small backfire baffle, i smell unburnt gas out exhaust. when i rev it sometimes shoots flames out tailpipes and backfires loud. terrible gas mileage. but when on throttle runs nice things recently done to car are
new iridium plugs/ msd wires
58mm bbk throttle body ported intake to match
shorty bbk headers
k&n cai
borla exhaust
pcm for less tune
no cats
3.73 gears
if it is injectors can i just buy #30 or would ya recomend #36 or neither i am eventually putting another 383 stroker motor when its completed i dont want to buy #24 and have it be a waste for 383. question will the bigger injectors be ok? to use in the stock lt1 or will it run like crap. or whats a good way to test them in the car

30# will work. best to have the tune changed to account for them. have you changed the 02's to see if it helps? if fouled you could try cleaning them with a torch. also check plugs to see if they are fouled.

Default injectors

i replaced the plugs about a 100 mi ago. i havnt put many miles on it. the o2 sensors should be ok no ses/ codes coming up for anything except every once in a while ill get the evaporative emissions code. which i beleive is from someone over filling the gas tank and flooding the charcoal canister.

how do i test the injectors to make sure they are pulsing when they should?

i see a set of #30 venoms on ebay. ive heard talk about venom or would you reccomend another brand?

dont have much experience with injectors thanks

02 sensors get old and can give false proper readings. imo good idea to change every 60 or so thousand miles. anyways take them out and have a look at them to see if they are black. same with the plugs, if your running rich they will foul in a sort time. anyways the injectors can be flow tested and cleaned at a injector shop, way cheaper than new ones. can also get flow tested rebuilt injectors at these same shops. i sent mine in after calling the shop ,called doctor injector, in oly. got them back in three days. testing the system to see if they are getting the signal can be done with a noid light. look like this.

am going to get the injectors checked out and flow tested. do you think this is why my fuel pressure doesnt maintain itself and why i have to crank it for a bit. only way to avoid cranking is to turn key on and off a couple times to prime the fuel pump. even after 20min of car shut off it seems to do it also. but if i shut it off and start it right away it seems normal.if 02 sensors are giving false readings wouldn't it throw a ses light its an obd2

a bad fuel pressure regulator will do that. had it happen to me. if the check valve in the fuel pump sticks open it will do it as well. and yah a stuck injector will let the pressure drop as it leaks when the motor is shut off.
