Default 95 Z28 not running right when hot

I have a 95 z28 that has 100k on it. It runs great until it gets warmed up then starts to act like it’s misfiring. Then if you step on it it’ll clear up and run normal. Then occasionally the check engine light will come on. Then if after its warmed up and you shut it off then try to restart it it will turn over really slow and will start really hard. Let it sit for a couple hours so everything cools down and it runs and starts fine.

Any ideas?? Thanks to all that reply.

Also my car is starting to eat serpentine belts. Is this a sign that the tensioner needs to be replace?? If so does anyone know where to get one???[/align]

Get the car scanned & and check for active and retained codes. Also, you may want to change the plugs and wires if it hasn't been done yet. I suspect a sensor problem, try disconnecting the plug from the MAF sensor & see how the car acts when hot. Disconnecting the MAF puts the PCM in open loop and disregards many of the sensors.
The starter cranking slowly when hot is a sign that you need a new starter. Most parts stores can get the belt tensioner for you, or if you wan OEM go to a GM dealer, they don't cost much. I suggest you get a OEM serpentine belt, as I had problems with various after market brands unraveling themselves, including Good Year.
