yup yup. 8 times out of 10 id say the IAC valve is carboned up (sometimes the IAC motor fried if it's gunked up enough for a long enough period of time)

yes it is a koala haha. um yeah for as long as ive had the car it has been that way (old engine and new engine) i will probably mention it to my mechanic next time the car is in there and he will probably check it for free. does having a high idle do anything to the car besides using more gas?

yah but it didnt sink in. i got a hard head. lol really sorry bout that. i said that because i did it. car would not idle right until i reset the idle up on the screw to open the butterflies. also i unhooked the battery to reset the computer so it would reset the iac sooner. didnt want to recomend that untill he gets it scanned.

OP says it's been that way since the get-go so that's a simple 1-minute (and free)job to start.
