Unless you forced it into place, the opti cannot be installed wrong.
When I did mine, I had to wiggle it a little to get it to go up against the block, but I had read that it would only go on one way and you might have to fiddle with it a bit.
If you did manage to force it on with the mounting bolts, and not break it in the process, consider yourself very lucky.

if he went to the link i gave it shows the opti backside and explains where the cam dowel goes. may want to pick up a noid light to make sure the injectors are being told to fire. did you check more than one plug?

Ok my bro just told me when he put the timing chain on he lined up the two
Pins but did not put cylinder number 1 o TDC so it could e off. I got new everything and the problem still persists so anyone have any advise before I rip this thing apart

Yes everything was changed when I rebuilt it. All new sensors and parts besides new optispark. But does anyone know if you can get the timing off by not putting it to TDC but still lining up the pins on te cam an crank gears?

Sorry, my old school thinking cap was still on. Pistons #1 and #6 are at TDC at the same time. It wouldn't make a difference how the gear marks lined up, because the distributor only goes on one way. Old school engines are different and easier to screw up, as the distributor can go in at any point.
