If you have a spare key try it first. The VATS module sends a signal to the PCM when it recognizes that the key has the proper value pellet. When the PCM sees the signal it allows the start relay to operate and allows the injectors to work. If the security lamp is lit, it indicates that the VATS did not see the proper resistance from the key, and it is not sending the OK signal to the PCM. The pellet on the key can be damaged or the contacts on the key and or ignition switch can become worn and the VATS module won't see the resistance it is looking for.

Okay, update.

Had it started without the security light flashing.

I pulled the ignition switch and put the key in the circut then turned the switch. So a temporary bypass.

Started up and ran for a few seconds.

Now it will not start again, nothing to do with the security lights. The lights turn off atfer about 5 seconds as they should and as it turns over it will turn off.

try and start it without the key in the wires and it flashes and will not turn over. So it is working.

But now the car will not start. Almost like it is not getting spark.

My question is, why WAS it getting spark but not it is not?

All fuses are good, getting fuel. Even sprayed fuel into the throttle body.
Pulled a plug wire and there is no spark.

Will check to see if there is something on that list to do with the spark or something.
