need advice so i am buying a LT4 hot cam .525 lift roller cam i would like to know does anyone know off the top of there head what other components i should get and type.. i know i need springs ,rockers but what size or what type? this is a stock engine block but its brand new no more than 2000 miles on it.. any advice would be so helpfull .. has anyone done a lt1 stock cam swap to a lt4 swap?

 

is there a reason you chose the hotcam? there are so many better cam choices out there.

what all is new in your motor? did you get new lifters? if you did, you shouldn't need new ones. but you're going to need rockers, springs and retainers, pushrods, the cam, probably injectors...uhhh...that's all i can think of off the top of my head

 

^^^ x2 in the immortal words of pete, hot cams are not that hot. lloyds got some cams that u could get some ideas from or just give him a call and he can set u on the right course.

i was thinking about ordering that kit... wat tolerances of lift can you have before having to get a tune? 94-z28, sorry for using your message board but maybe it can answer some of your questions.

yea has new lifters and rockers its all stock tho , idk why i chose the hotcam i guess everyone uses it ever car ive ran into now a days has a LT4 hot cam u know.. if you have any link to a good LT4 hot cam or cam period that is streetable let me know ... please..

 

did u look over the cams elliotts. he has one that is like a hot cam but better. give him a call and talk with him. he will point both of u in the right direction.
