94 lt1 camaro
ok guys so i am new to the whole car world. always owned trucks. still have the truck but thought i would play around with a camaro for a while. looking at a 94 lt1 6 spd manual trans. 119,000 miles. now i know i am gonna rebuild the motor but when i do i want to make it beefy. i am hoping to get 500+ hp out of it before i shoot the nos to it. anysuggestions on parts to do this with would be much appreciated. i have been looking around but figured you guys would know more then me. thanks again for the help.

craby pointed you in the right direction...however i will add some stuff to what he said
now, you want to make 500+ to the wheels BEFORE you throw spray at it? i'm guessing that means you're going to take it to the track as well...so the motor is actually the last place i'd start in this case.
i'd be looking at my suspension first...all that power is no good if you can't hook it up. then i'd be looking at beefing up my tranny otherwise your car will be sitting in the garage with a blown tranny and that power does no good again.
at this point you can build the motor if you'd like, but i'd be sure i have an extra 2500 bucks for a rear end, because it won't be long before you blow up that little 10 bolt with hard launches.

It is a vicious circle. Add a lot of power and car does not hook up. Get the car to hook up and drive train parts break. Beef up drive train, and now you want more power. Make more power and car does not hook up. Get car to hook up and drive train parts break. etc., etc.... lol
