Default 93 z28 warm problem

Iam having the same thing as the 94 guys are having.Just replaced the egr and still running bad when warm.Iam not getting any codes.Just bought the car a week ago for 3,000 with only 118,*** miles on it.It has a k&n and flows on it,the guy said it has a super chip in it but I took the pcm apart and found nothing. The chip that a could get to was a delco one.Just want to see if anybody has any ideas out there.
Thanks

You could start with the basics. Change plugs, wires, and filters. Probably still has the original plugs & wires. Also, ifyou have doubts about the chip, spend $70 on a new MEMCAL chip from your local Chevy dealer. It will have all the updates from GM.

Thanks pete for the reply,The guy told me that he had the plugs and wires changed, they look farly new.The cap and rotor look to be first one? When the car is cold, hold on,but about 5 min. of diving its all down hill, like its misfiring or the timing is off. Most of the time its in 1,500 to 3,500rpm range.I work at a local shop learning day by day the trade,I hooked up the comuter to it and no codes and O2's are in range. If I baby the car it runs good but starting out of 1st gear it lags and holds up sometimes.Ive started to check for loose wires and conections.

Take a good look at the ignition then. Change the less expensive part first.
1) Ignition coil (stay away from Accel)
2)Ignition module
3)Optispark--change the entire assembly, just the cap & rotor doesn't usually do the trick.
Also, if you are changing out the Opti, also change out the water pump, because when it goes bad it leaks on the distributor, and soon after the distributor needs to be replaced.
