Default 93- 15"wheels, gears, fan switch,

dragracing season done....now on to the winter projects...

Has anyone ever fit 15" wheels or even 14" over top the rear rotors and calipers? if so what were the wheels off. maybe some winter wheels from the nearest shop? anyways i want to buy some slicks or street/drag radials for my traction issues.

how would i wire my fans to come on via a toggle switch but also keeping them to come on with the factory setup. I could put the 12 v to the fans with a switch but i dont want that 12v to go back to the ecu. could be bad. maybe a couple diodes? not sure. the summitt catalog has what im looking for but its 80$.(cheap but 80 bucks is 80 bucks when i can do it for 10)

Gears are 323s. im thinking bout 373s. as i drive the car to and from the tracks what is the diffrence in rpm in high gear between these two sets. 2000rpm at 65mph or so with the 323's. 373s would be ????

93 camaro lt1 auto.
thx, mi.
13.19@105mph

oh yeah one more thing....driving home yesterday on the hwy and the thing completly shut down without warning then come back on all within 1 second. opti??? had that apart tho and looked fine 2 months ago. also can i take the abs (big grey thing drivers side inner fender) without any issues arising ,ecu wise? (reason=less weight + linelock). lots of question i know, thanks in advance. as i know more from u guys ill be able to contribute more, sometimes i feel like the hamburgerler from mcie d's but im stealing answers instead.ltr.

as far as the fans go i just bought the slp switch. yeah it was a bit of money but it was hassle free and it works great. The fans work on low/high/off just like they normally would. You can switch between all 3 on the toggle switch, plus if you turn on the low speed fans and the pcm wants the high speeds it turns them on then goes back to the lows when finished.

just fyi,

steel wheel part# x40392 fits over rear calipers. 26x9x15 slick fits as well. both combined makes the tire stick out a bit due to the diff in offset and bulging side wall. not ugly tho. sorta tough. I'll see if i can get a pic up.

fans i spliced the two pos together then ran that to a switch, in-line fuse, and batt. no crazy a@s diodes, the ecu/pcm doesnt notice. works great anytime. pcm will kick in too even if the switch is off. total cost 55 bucks ( no hack job ). get lt4weeda recommended slp switch.

as far as i can figure with all my extensive reseach....the diff in gears is about 17%. lol. seriously tho.. 323 2k rpm at 65 is about 2340 rpm 373. i bet the gas millage would go down the same percent.

second hand msd opti fixed my cutting out problems.

who in hell would get rid of their abs! who wrote that. someone who thought they were gonna have alot time on there hands.
