Default 454 swap/T56

i was thinking about putting my 454 in my 97. it has a ragged out LT in it with the T56 trans. in it. i know the wirring will be an issue but it is still a V8 fuel injected. but has anyone bolted the 454 up to the LT1 T56 and if so, what will i need to do. thanks for any help anyone might be able to give me.

anything is posible with money. lol. u would have to chop the car up to make it fit and with the extra weight its not going to go that much better, unless u build it. be better off stroking a lt1 to a 383 with some good heads and cam.

craby pretty much hit the nail on the head. a swap like that will cost a lot of money and time and a lot of fabrication to get it in. when building the LT1 you have will cost some money, but you won't have to chop up your car to make it work

Yes chevy bellhousings are the same and yes a T-56 will bolt up to a 396-502 big block , only thing is the big blocks are high tourqe engines you need a good performance clutch that'll hold the tourqe but like what craby said alot of cutting and modifieing the engine bay for a wider engine and the length is also an issue also when the intake is installed in front itll be hard to bend around to get to the rite area unless you run without the hood on
