As previously mentioned, double check your oil pressure sensor and the connections. If you still have no oil pressure on the gauge, then swap in a mechanical unit (only a coule of bucks at any store).

As for running like crap, it sounds like you may have a bad or broken connection to any one of several engine sensors. I would double check all of those as well.

If you don't find anything loose or broken, then my next step would be to scan for codes and see what the computer has in it.

Found the culprit, the oil sending unit was bad, replaced it with a new one and I have great oil pressure again and its back to running like a champ, and thanks to my father I now realize I just bought a 1994 z28 with an LS1 when i thought it had the LT1. I am glad people have no idea what they have an let a great car with an even better motor go for so cheap, IDIOTS!

If you have an LS1 in there, are you certain that it is a '94? Swapping the LS1 in there is a lot of work, and hopefully they did a complete job.

Back to oil filters... Probably start an argument here, but I only use WIX, had bad experiences with Fram, cost me a motor in my '05 Silverado, can't prove it, but that's my story. AC doesn't make filters anymore, just brand them, so I don't trust them either. Most really good mechanics use WIX, or Purolator. I have heard good things about the Mobil1 line, but never used them. So if I were you btandoz, I'd get rid of the Fram filter.
