Exclamation 1994 z28 Driver Power Window

I have those "auto" windows on my driver side, and when i try to put the window down it will go slowly, and it will go up just a bit but again VERY slow. Now, to me i figured that the motor is fine, however i hear somthing screaming under my dash. I notice its a black box, a regalator or relay of some sort. I have two, i reckon the other is for the other window. Now, do i have to replace that? Or is that fine. It usually makes a pitch noiese if i tap 2 times on the window button for up and down

Any one else know what is going on with my window please help me!

All i need to pass NJ Inspection and its annoying

Thanks ahead of time!

It actually sounds to me like your window motor is on it's way out. It's not completely gone (thus the reason it will still push the window up), but it's probably to the point that it's drawing a ton of current and it's probably getting hot too. I'd recommend replacing the motor.

I know some states have a "safety inspection" where they check the brakes and seat-belts and that sort of thing, but how fast the windows go up and down... Really?

Hi Guys. While you're on the windows subject, any chance of some help. My driver side window has completely stopped working, although i get a small thud noise from directly under the dash. Checked all fuses and relays in the fuse box on left side of cockpit with nothing obvious there. Passanger window works fine. Are there extra realys under the dash? 1 per window? Or is it likely the motors seized? Appreciate your help.

There's actually a sticky guide at the top of the 4th gen section that has pictures and everything (not to steal your thunder or anything...).
