^^^ good idea. and did you change any gaskets when motor was changed. failing intake gasket could cause lean condition. when the car was wrecked was any damage close to motor where intake and head or gaskets could have been damaged/cracked?

Sounds like an opti spark could be acting funny.

Nope not accident related and it aint the opti. The fuel pressure is 10lbs low so now i know what the culprit is. Be it a bad check ball, regulator or a really clogged filter...Luckly i have spare parts to work with

Wouldnt be that lucky lol. Changed the filter with no change. My guess is the pump. Anyone ever use the cut the floor method? I cant decide if i like the idea but droping the tank kinda sucks.

DO NOT drop the tank its a nightmare. cut the hatch it works really good i could change a pump in 10 min after the hatch was there.

If it comes back after a pump swap I would be looking for intake manifold gasket and exhaust leaks (before 02). One of these would be my guess.

Ok so i swaped out the pump using the hatch method today which worked great thanks for the link and went ahead and swaped the regulator too. And of course the adpter fitting need to my gauge is mia so using a autozone rental gauge key on pump running 45psi pump shuts off 38-39 psi at idle 35 psi gauge on windshield wideopen throttle 45psi shbox and my book say 41-47 key on engine off? So i would assume 43-44 would be the norm engine not running. ideas?
