check where the egr pipe hooks from the exhaust manifold to intake, both ends. check the air pump check valve. for the rignt one i think its on the front top of the passenger side exhaust manifold, where the pipe comes out theres a metal round check valve. unhook hose and see if your getting exaust backing out towards the pump.
