Is the slp lid intake or this intake better?

I went on a cruise the other day, and since I'm looking at ls1's. What's a better intake?

 

I'll stick with the SLP lid with k&n filter.

Ok. How does the lid work?

 

its just a bigger, taller, lid without any baffles and the end that connects to the MAF is round, and not oval like the stock one.

Could you possibly see an increase in hp with just the lid and the k&n filter or would buying the whole cold air induction kit be a better buy?
